Are you looking for a different kind of vacation? Something off the beaten path, quiet, serene and beautiful? Would you like to get away from all the hustle, bustle, and chaos?

Welcome to Scott's Timberline Lake. Located in the rolling hills of beautiful southern Indiana in an isolated valley, Scott's Timberline Lake offers quiet days of fishing or just relaxing in a boat on the water. The lake is a spring-fed ten-acre lake, naturally stocked with bass, red ear and blue gill.

Just imagine relaxing on the large front porch of the hand-crafted log home, watching some of the local wildlife - deer, turkey, fox and squirrels, and listening to all kinds of the beautiful birds that flock to the feeder located in the front yard, just a few feet in front of you. Imagine enjoying the acrobatic antics of the many hummingbirds that summer in the area.

Imagine you are out in the boat. Look up and watch a flock of Canadian geese land on the water. What a beautiful sight, one that most people never get to see!

"Thank you Elayne for the wonderful hospitality and homemade bread. Hope you and your future guests enjoy the homemade cane with the log cabin wood burning on it. My husband, Bill has a God given talent and loves to share it with others. Being here at the cabin for our 10th anniversary has reminded us how precious life and the simple things in life are. We will be back soon. May God bless you in all you do. Happy Easter!"
-- The Hart family (March, 2008), Indiana.

"This has been such a wonderful getaway for us—we’ve had the best of both worlds—winter snow, spring rain and one beautiful spring day! The cabin is so homey and comfortable! We started calling it “home” after the third day. We loved catching a glimpse of deer drinking at the lake or running across the creek. We watched all of the colorful birds eat from the feeder. And the lake---the geese, the turtles and we caught fish for dinner! Elayne, thank you so much for your hospitality and the wonderful bread that awaited us upon our arrival."
-- William and Karla Tucker (March, 2008)– LA

We have truly felt God’s presence in this place. To all who come after us, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks for sharing this wonderful cabin."

"Thank you for renting out your cabin to vacationers who needed a little peace, quiet and relaxation. The cabin is clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We have spent a lot of time just sitting on the front porch reading, doing Bible study or just watching the birds and squirrels. The fishing has been good. You have been a very gracious hostess – there if we needed anything, but not bothering us in any way. We hope to see you again."
-- God Bless and keep you,

"Jason and I had a wonderful time. He didn’t catch the “Big One” but he certainly tried. We’ll have to bring my wife down in the fall. I’m sure the hills and trees in color must be awesome!"
-- Ken Scheffler – IN (June 2008)

"Thanks for another great visit at this little piece of paradise. Our children and grandchildren had a great time fishing and paddle boating, bird watching and hiking. This is such a great place for all our family. Thanks for sharing it with us and the memories we have made with our family during this time. God bless you until we see you again."
-- Pastor Randy and Cheryl Murphy (July, 2008)

"Wow, what a beautiful and relaxing place!! The boys enjoyed playing checkers on the porch while watching the birds and squirrels. I got your puzzle out and worked on it and to my surprise; my husband kept sitting down and helping me until we got it done. The cabin is so cozy and welcoming with everything you would need provided. Thank you, you have thought of everything. It was refreshing to swim in the lake with the sights and sounds of nature around you. Along with the sounds of laughter and enjoyment of the boys swimming and jumping off the pier. As for us four novice fishermen, it couldn’t have been any easier to catch fish. The first morning we caught 8. Below are the pictures of the first 4 we caught. The second morning we caught 13. But being novices, all our fish were returned back to the lake to get bigger for next time. Thank you for the best week we have spent in Southern Indiana. "
-- The Updike family (August, 2008)-IN

"I and my grandchildren had a great time! We even turned the oldest grandchild into a fisherwoman! We had a great time on the boat and jumping off the dock. The cabin and the setting are beautiful and we had everything we needed. I had a great time watching the birds and converted the kids to bird watching also. We really hate to leave. You have a wonderful place here. Best wishes to you and we hope to see you again! "
-- The Riley family (August, 2008)– IN

"Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time. We are already planning our next visit. The pictures of the cabin on the internet do not do this place justice. Next time, we’ll remember our camera. God bless you."
-- The Cannon family (August, 2008) – IN

"We had a wonderful time. You have a beautiful place and I hope we can come back soon. I had a perfect morning yesterday; a book, a coke and floating in the paddle boat by myself! I finally had good luck fishing. Thanks for everything. You have a vacation spot to be remembered."
-- The Jaracz family (April, 2009) – IN

"Quite simply, a wonderful week for both of us. This is a great place for R & R – beautiful and probably the quietest we have experienced. We enjoyed fishing and watching the wildlife, especially the birds – they put on a great show with no admission fee! Elayne, thank you for the absolutely delicious bread – it was good to the last crust! This is definitely a slice of heaven; we’d love to come back."
-- The Wolf family (May, 2009) – IL

"Beautiful place to spend with good friends!! We surprised our husbands with a weekend away from it all. Enjoyed hiking, boating, swimming and just swinging on the porch listening to the rain and enjoying good conversation. Just taking it easy! I'd love to see the trees in the fall! Hope to be back."
-- Linda and Dan (September, 2009) – IN

"Beautiful, relaxing weekend! Had a wonderful time at cabin and lake. Hiked in Pioneer Mother's Memorial Forest and at Hemlock Cliffs. Ate at the Overlook in Leavenworth and walked around Corydon, visited West Baden. Overall, just a fun-filled but relaxing time. Plenty of opportunity to go and do or not do anything. Loved it!! Thanks for the hospitality and homemade bread. Hope to come back soon."
